Did you know that the first sentence of the Gettysburg Address has 30 words and 175 characters? Me neither. But that’s not the important point.
The important point is that we sometimes accidentally send a message before we’re ready to send it. In this day and age of tweeting and other micro-blogging services, it is sometimes helpful to be able to count the characters in your message before you actually put that message in a tweet. In fact, that can be handy on all kinds of forms.
I recommend a free and very easy to use online tool called WordCounterTool.com. You can do the same thing in Microsoft Word, but this is much easier. So give it a try next time you need to know how many words or characters are in your message!
